General Warnings and Usage Tips

The Safelet bracelets are intended for ages 10+.

The Safelet bracelets are not life-saving devices and are not replacements for calling emergency services. In case of an emergency, you should always contact your local emergency services, if able. Safele has the ability to contact emergency services, and such ability is not guaranteed to function.

– The Safelet bracelets work via a Bluetooth connection to a smartphone and the Safelet Mobile Software Application. The Safelet bracelets will not work if the corresponding Mobile Software Application has not been installed on a fully-charged device, such as a smart phone or tablet, or when this device is not within the Bluetooth range of the Safelet bracelet.

– When the Safelet bracelet alarm is activated, an alert is sent out to the user’s personal Guardian Network. Think carefully about whom to invite in this personal Guardian Network.

Equipment and Usage Warnings

– The Safelet bracelets are sensitive electronic products and can easily be damaged if overheated, dropped, burned, punctured or crushed, or exposed to liquids. Handle the Safelet bracelets with care. In the event a Safelet bracelet becomes damaged, use should be immediately discontinued.

Digital Device Note

The Safelet bracelets have been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class 8 digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the U.S. Federal Commercial Code rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. The Safelet bracelets generate, use and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If the Safelet bracelets do cause harmful interference to radio or television reception which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more the following measures: Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna; increase the separation between the equipment and the receiver; connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
